The Tasting Room Experience

Experience our passion for great food, and wine and whiskey pairings at The Tasting Room in Downtown Syracuse. Our downtown Syracuse restaurant offers a fine dining experience with a chill atmosphere.

Our food menu is uniquely crafted by the Chef J Carlos Rodriguez -- and it changes monthly -- so there's always something new to try!

Chef de Cuisine J Carlos Rodriguez is classically French trained, but enjoys global cusines. Each dish is created from only the best, in-season ingredients, to create plates that taste as amazing as they look. Many of our dishes are gluten free.

Food is best enjoyed with libations... which is why we offer craft cocktails, craft beers and a wine and whiskey list that is unmatched. We curate our wines and whiskeys from around the world and offer tastings and flights to introduce you to unique offerings and pairings. You can't beat our wines by the bottle pricing, either!

Stop in and enjoy all we have to offer -- including the beautiful local artwork on our walls.

While you're here, visit our artisanal food market, Epicuse, located next door.  Both The Tasting Room and Epicuse are located in the heart of Downtown Syracuse NY.

About the Artwork

We're excited to announce that we've added a permanent art gallery installation to The Tasting Room. And the art is for sale!

The artwork on our walls is from local artist, Craig Anderson. Craig did a temporary show in 2023 that we absolutely loved. So when he shared that he was looking for a permanent home for his art, we jumped at the chance.

Award-winning watercolor artist, Craig Anderson, now has more than twenty paintings on display at The Tasting Room from both his Cocktail Hour and Diner Chess collections.

Stop in and check out the artwork. All artwork is for sale.

Craig Anderson was born and raised in Upstate New York before moving to San Diego in 1988. It was here that he began and his art career. He works primarily in transparent Watercolor, but uses Acrylic when it serves the subject. He is drawn to scenes and objects where light and dark work in tandem to create the potential of an impactful painting. He is drawn to subjects based on their inherant value, which is the contrast of light and dark, or the emotion and mood of the scene. Using bold value patterns, color or various textures, Craig allows the story of the painting to come to life.

Craig Anderson is an award-winning artist whose work is represented by private and corporate collections nationwide.

After spending 35 years in San Diego, he now lives and paints in Syracuse, New York. View his website and artwork here
